Anna is here. A few days ago my wife and I welcomed our daughter into the world. Healthy. Beautiful. Already running the house. I'm not gonna lie - I've been staring at this little girl thinking one thing over and over: What kind of man do I need to be so she never questions what a strong one looks like? That question hit different than I expected. Because honestly, it got me thinking of the same positioning for a fearless athlete. Who do you need to become so the people watching you never question what a competitor looks like? Your teammates. Your coaches. Your family in the stands. The freshman behind you waiting for their shot. They're watching. Not to judge you. To learn from you. And the answer is never "be perfect." The answer is always "have a standard and never break from it." Anna's a few days old and she's already teaching me that. So here's why I'm telling you this. I'm not slowing down. I'm speeding up. I'm taking on college athletes right now for 1-on-1 mental performance coaching. And I want to know where you're at. Reply with the number that fits you best: 1 - I'm struggling with confidence and consistency and I need help now. 2 - I'm performing okay but I know my mental game is the ceiling. I want to break through it. 3 - I'm not ready for coaching yet but I want to keep learning from your content. Just the number. That's it. I read every reply. Standard over feelings. Grant P.S. - No matter which number you pick - I'm glad you're here. Anna's arrival reminded me why I do this. The standard you set today is the one someone else borrows tomorrow. Make it count. |
